Industrial RO Membranes for Process Water and Reuse

Reverse-osmosis elements sourced for industrial desalination, process water and reuse duties after suitable pretreatment.

Product overview

A pressure-driven barrier for dissolved contaminant reduction

Reverse osmosis uses pressure to move water through a semi-permeable membrane while rejecting a portion of dissolved salts and other contaminants.

RO element selection must be based on feed analysis, temperature, recovery, pressure, scaling potential, organic fouling risk and the complete array design.

Application fit

Typical roles and use cases

These are potential roles, not guaranteed performance claims. The complete process and verified product limits must be reviewed.

Industrial process water

RO desalination following appropriate pretreatment for the feed source.

Wastewater reuse

Advanced treatment after upstream solids, organics and biological risks are managed.

Replacement elements

Review of current model, vessel size, array and operating data.

System context

The element is one part of the RO system

Pressure vessels, pumps, instrumentation, dosing, pretreatment and controls determine whether the selected RO element can operate reliably.

  • Provide a complete ionic analysis
  • State average and peak permeate demand
  • Identify feed temperature and recovery target
  • Share the current array for replacement work

FAQ

Common selection questions

Can RO treat industrial wastewater directly?

Usually not without substantial pretreatment. Solids, organics, hardness, metals, silica, oils and biological activity must be controlled.

Can a different RO brand replace the current element?

Potentially, if dimensions and performance characteristics are compatible and the system is re-evaluated.

Does higher recovery always improve the project?

Higher recovery reduces concentrate volume but increases concentration, scaling and pressure risks. The optimum is application-specific.
