A suitable membrane can reduce suspended solids and turbidity and may help stabilize feed quality. Integrity, pore structure and operating conditions affect the result.
Risks that remain
Hardness, silica, sulfate, metals, dissolved organics, nutrients, microorganisms and oxidants require separate analysis and control.
Position in the process
Industrial reuse may combine equalization, physicochemical or biological treatment, ceramic filtration, cartridge protection, dosing and RO. The sequence depends on contaminants.
How to verify suitability
Use representative feed data, RO projection, supplier limits and pilot work where the wastewater is variable or difficult. Monitor more than turbidity alone.
